Symphonic Sym*phon"ic, a. 1. Symphonious. 2. (Mus.) Relating to, or in the manner of, symphony; as, the symphonic form or style of composition.

(b) An instrumental passage at the beginning or end, or in the course of, a vocal composition; a prelude, interlude, or postude; a ritornello.
