Zo["o]spores are produced by many green, and by some olive-brown, alg[ae]. In certain species they are divided into the larger macrozo["o]spores and the smaller microzo["o]spores. Called also sporozoid, and swarmspore. 2. (Zo["o]l.) See Swarmspore.
